The Work and the Workers
Western Recorder, 1923

Dr. John T. Christian of the Baptist Bible Institute, has just completed a history of Louisiana Baptists, which will be off the press soon. Kentuckians who know the work of Dr. Christian will be glad of this addition to our Baptist historical literature.

__________

During the Russellville Assembly, which convenes July 15, to the 22nd., Dr. J. M. Carroll will speak July 16th to 21st. Concerning .his addresses. Brother C. Ross Payne, Educational Director of the First Baptist Church, Owensboro, Kentucky, writes: "Upon learning that Dr. J. M. Carroll will be with you at the West Kentucky Baptist Assembly to give his addresses on 'The Trail of Blood', I desire to say for the benefit of all who have not heard him give these addresses that to hear them alone will be well worth your going one hundred times as far. These addresses of Dr. Carroll will do much to make Baptists proud that they are Baptists and glad to work harder at their job of evangelizing the world. These addresses should be given in every Baptist church in the South. Prior to the meeting of the Assembly the West Kentucky Sunday School Convention will convene on the 13th, 14th, and 15th.
