Donus Titus
Baptist Pastor in Michigan

      Donus Titus, was born Sept. 29, 1929 in Terre Haute, Indiana. He died in January 2009 at the age of 79. He had been the pastor at Home Baptist Church, Mount Morris, Michigan for 39 years, He and his wife Cynthia had two sons, David and Mark, and two daughters, Eileen Rubey and Marianne Dixon. He also had nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

      He graduated from Henry Ford Trade School in 1947 and became a tool and die maker. In about 1950 he had a calling to serve God. He was the pastor at various churches around Detroit before moving to Mount Morris in 1964.

      He had been battling Alzheimer's disease for several years. "He was an old-fashioned type of Baptist preacher," said his son, Mark Titus. "His foremost concerns in his life were God, his family and taking care of the needs of the congregation." He preached often at Bible Conferences.
