Garner Ray Smith
Kentucky Baptist Pastor

      Bro. Garner Ray Smith was born in Montgomery County, Tennessee, on May 12, 1935, to James R. and Johnnie Shrader Smith. He had a brother and three sisters. He married Augusta Bowles Smith of Clarksville and they had two daughters, Connie and Rita. Bro. Smith served the Lord faithfully for 52 years as a Baptist pastor. A graduate of Bible Baptist College, Clarksville, Tennessee; he later served there as a teacher.

      The churches he served were: First Canaan Baptist Church, Palmyra, Tennessee; Fairview Baptist Church of Dickson, Tennessee; Bible Baptist Church of White Bluff, Tennessee; Faith Baptist Church of Sacramento, Kentucky; Julien Baptist Church of Gracey, Kentucky and Faith Baptist Church, Clarksville, Tennessee.

      Pastor Smith preached in many revival meetings and independent Baptist Bible conferences. He died May 22, 2010 at the age of 75.
