Oscar Lee (O. L.) Rives
Baptist Pastor & Educator

      Oscar Lee Rives was born in 1896. He grew up attending Liberty Baptist Church, Fulton County, Kentucky. He surrendered to preach there and served as their pastor from 1925 to 1927. He was a chaplin in the Second World War and was commissioned a Captain. Bro. Rives was for a time a Professor of Religious Education at Carson-Newman College in eastern Tennessee. He died in 1972 and is buried at the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery.
