One item, not in the former history, will be noticed here. At the November meeting of the church in 1861, Bro. T. W. Beagle was ordained to the Gospel Ministry, the following named ministers present, viz: Revs. William Stilwell, Jesse Beagle, N. C. Gettit and J. M. Jolly.

      J. M. Jolly continued as pastor until June, 1880, making eleven years in succession, during which time there were two hundred baptized into the fellowship of the church. In 1885 the salary of pastors was increased from forty-five to one hundred dollars. This year, T. W. Beagle was called upon to preach on the second Sunday in each month. In 1886 the pastor was employed to preach for the church two Sundays of each month. In 1868 pastors' salary was increased to three hundred dollars, he to devote one-half of his time to the church. In 1869 pastors labors was the same as the proceeding year, and the salary reduced to two hundred and fifty dollars. In 1870 the pastor performed the same labor as the previous, and relied uppon the liberality of the church for salary, and he received fifty-five dollars. At the February meeting, this year, J. B.       From June, 1873, to March, 1874, the church had no pastor. In March, 1874, Rev. J. R. Barbee held a series of meeting with the church, which resulted in thirty-one additions by baptism. At the church meeting, this month, Bro. Barbee was called as pastor, and remained as such until January, 1876.

From January, 1876, to April, 1877. the church had no pastor. At the April meeting, 1879, Bro. G. W. Nelson was ordained to the ministry, the following ministers being present: Revs. H. E. Spillman, J. R. Barbee, C. J. Bagby and J. M. Jolly. At the August meetng same year, James M. Daniel was licensed to preach. At the March meeting, in 1877, Rev. C. J. Bagby was called to the care of the church, but his time being occupied he couold not accept. At the next meeting, April, Rev. G. W. Nelson was called as pastor until January following. In January, 1878, J. M. Jolly was called as pastor, and served until January, 1881, (to which time this history reaches), during which time there were thirty-five added by baptism.

Thus, in hte present and former sketch, we have a history of the church for a period of near forty-seven years, during which time there has been received into her fellowship six hundred and five by baptism. Her pastors, six in number, served as follows: Rev. John Stevens, six and one-half years; Rev. W. J. Morin, eighteen years; Rev. J. M. Jolly, fourteen years; Rev. W. L. Jermane, three years; Rev. J. R. Barbee, nearly two years; Rev. G. W. Nelson, nine months.

Her deacons, of the past and present, number five, to-wit: Con. Beagle, Edward Morin, S. W. Kennedy, J. B. Otten and L. D. Danilt [Daniel], the two last names being the present Deacons, the others having gone to their reward. She has elected four Clerks, to-wit: W. J. Morin, Edward Morin, W. A. Morin and E. M. Jolly, the last named being the present Clerk, the others having passed away. She has ordained five to the Gospel Ministry, to-wit: W. J. Morin, J. M. Jolly, S. W. Beagle, W. S. Jolly and G. W. Nelson, four of whom are still living, the first named having gone to his reward many years since.

The highest number in membership the Church has had was three hundred abnd fifteen (315); present number, two hundred and nine (209). Although the Church does not possess as much strength numerically and financially as she has in times past, yet she has a large membership, composed largely of young persons who promises lives of usefulness.
