On September 25th the Tennessee Baptist reported under the column listed above a report of the business meeting on the 21st at the FBC where on a motion of Deacon A. Nelson, the "Deacon C. K. Winston was appointed to preside not only at this meeting, but at all subsequent meeting during the progress of the trial."Since J. R. Graves was not present it was decided that the trial would begin October 12th at half past 7 o'clock P.M.
A series of Resolutions was read concerning the actions of writers for the Tennessee Baptist, who used the initials "D" and "P" and had published misinformation concerning the church's actions.
