George Thomas Kelley, was born January 25, 1943, in Daviess County, Kentucky to Joseph Allen and Louise Mitchell Kelley. He was married for 59 years to the love of his life, Cora Alice Norris Kelley. They had five children. He was 80 years old when he died in Decatur, Alabama on March 14, 2023.

      He was a pastor for over 45 years. He was the pastor of Grace Missionary Baptist Church, near Owensboro for several years, then for many years he pastored a church in Simi Valley, California. He was pastor at the Philadelphia Baptist Church in Decatur, Alabama until two weeks prior to his death.

      He liked technology and loved to tinker with computers, was mechanically minded, liked old westerns, had a really good sense of humor, and liked to travel with surprise trips. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
