Elder Edmund Stephens was born in Erlanger, Kentucky, on the 29th day of June, 1810, and joined the Primitive Baptist Church and was baptized on the second Sunday in February, 1842. He was ordained to the work of the ministry in 1854. Will be 85 years old June 29th, 1895, and is now the pastor of one church, and visits several others when the weather is pleasant.
