Oak Ridge Baptist Church
Kenton County, KY

Oak Ridge Church in North Bend Association, located in a farming and trucking region some miles southeast of Covington, Ky., had its homecoming and opening day on May 24. Organized in 1844, its beloved pastor for a number of years has been Rev. M. M. McFarland, and the church has shown exceptional growth and increase under his ministry. The new parsonage had been dedicated some months ago free of debt, and on the opening day there was a celebration of additional building and facilities which have been completed in the church building itself. The building was moved back further from the highway, and a full basement added to it. The reconstruction is yet in progress. The invited speakers of the day were W. A. M. Wood, J. W. Black, O. J. Steger, H. C. Wayman, R. L. Johnson, R. D. Martin and Judge J. P. Goodenough. Lunch was served on the grounds, and the day was concluded with the presentation of the American flag by the American Legion. It was an impressive day of fellowship and instruction. Many friends will feel led to congratulate both Pastor McFarland and his church.
