The Campbell County (KY) Baptist Association
Statistics and Pastoral Information, 1857
This Association is composed of fourteen churches, having a membership of 1359. The letters from the churches report 134 Baptised during the past year. Received by Letter 28. Dismissed by Letter, 44. Died, 8. Restored, 12. Excluded 51, which makes an increase over last year of 47 members. It appears from our minutes that we have among us fourteen ordained ministers of the Gospel; two of whom, Elam Grizzle and George Graden, are, by the infirmities of age, not able to preach; leaving us eleven active laborers in the vineyard, and of these two or three spend the larger portion of their time without the bounds of this Association.

We give below the names and post office address of each minister of the Campbell County Association, and their places of preaching as far as we know:

Elder ELAM GRIZZLE, Canton, Kenton County, Ky. - Does not preach.
Elder GEORGE GRADEN, Alexandria, Ky. - Has no church.
Elder JAMES SPILLMAN, Cold Spring, Ky. - Is pastor of Alexandria, Licking Valley and Bethel Churches in Campbell County Association and North Fork in Union [Association], and preaches at some other points occasionally.
Elder JAMES VICKERS, Jamestown, Ky. - Has all his time engaged within the bounds of North Bend Association.
Elder W. J. MORIN, Flag Spring, Ky. - Is pastor at the Nevilsville church in Ohio, and preaches in the Plum Creek neighborhood, once a month.
Elder JOSIAH HERBERT, Covington, Ky. - Is pastor of the church at DeCoursey's Creek, and preaches at some other points.
Elder JESSE BEAGLE, Alexandria, Ky. - Is pastor of the churches at Brush Creek, 1st Twelve-Mile, and a church in Ohio.
Elder Wm. GRIZZLE, Alexandria, Ky. - Is pastor of the Pleasant Ridge church in this Association, and Banklick in North Bend, and preaches at other points occasionally.
Elder A. W. MULLINS, Fiskburg, Ky. - Is pastor of Wilmington church, in this Association, and two churches in Union and one in Ten-mile.
Elder Wm. STILWELL, Cold Spring, Ky. - Pastor at Newport. This is the only church in this Association that has preaching every Sabbath, and the Lord is adding to their numbers such as he would have to be saved.
Elder G. B. CHAMBERS, Cold Spring, Ky. - Is pastor of the Licking church, and preaches at some other points occasionally.
Elder J. M. JOLLY, Flagspring, Ky. - Preaches at various points in his vicinity.
Elder THOMAS VICKERS, Jamestown, Ky. - Pastor at the Jamestown church.
Elder N. PETTIT, Cold Spring, Ky. - Pastor of the church at 2nd Twelve-mile.
